This doesn't really fit a theme this month, but I have been dying to get some pictures of this old gas station turned restaurant. The name is Diesel (cute). Finally got a chance this week and I was pretty happy so I thought I would post them.
Last comment...I am so excited that we are going to Yellowstone National Park on Thursday!! What a great chance to take some awesome photos. Can't forget the tripod!
Every boys dream to be a fire fighter....this is my son in an old, local fire truck. Our Roswell Station No. 1 has a museum which we went to this week. Actually, he wasn't supposed to be in there, but I didn't know until it was too late. Hey, the door was ajar :) Below it, another angle of the same truck, processed as an old photo, a close up of the old ladder on the truck, and an old make of a helmet.
Saw these wildflowers on a hike with my hubby and son. I didn't realize until after we left that I had the aperture too small, so it was very dark and had to depend on PS to adjust - hence the noise. Again - I think my ideas were better this week, but not the execution. Boo.
OK - so this doesn't depict discovery, but it is a restaurant I discovered on my photo walk. I like that the street name sounds like "hate", but from it hangs a peace sign. Can't wait to try the restaurant. Blur issues again. Sorry.
My take on vegetables....the farmer's market. I was surprised to see that the photos I have taken over the past week have all been fuzzy. My hands must be shaking more than normal - time to pull out the tripod for all of my shots?? Anyway, this and the next few are not as sharp as I would like.
An old fire truck
I can't make this picture "fit" into any of the June themes, but I had to post it. Another from our train museum adventure...
Went to the train museum again with my son. They were having a demonstration with a hot air balloon - blowing it up from scratch. It was really neat. I thought the basket was gorgeous - this is a close up. I wanted to post the balloon (maybe I will later) but I am not happy with the pictures I took. Maybe after I do more photoshop online training then I can fix them well enough to not be embarrassed about posting it :)
